Hints for a successful presentation: Always 7 by 7 or 6 by 6.
- Plan carefully
- Do your research
- Know your audience
- Time your presentation
- Practice your presentation
- Speak comfortably and clearly
- Use design templates
- Standardize position, colors and styles
- Include only necessary information
- Limit the information to essentials
- Content should be self-evident
- Use colors that contrast
- Be consistent with effects, transitions and animation
- Too many slides can make audience sleeping

Expository Essay
1. What are the important characteristics:

is defined and narrowed thesis in the introduction
second
is evidence, examples, statistics, or facts in each paragraph in the body to support the thesis and to make thesis more clear more understand.
Third
is information presented fairly and talking about all sides of the topic

is the use of third-person rather than I or me.
2. 4 organizational structures:

"What is the summary?"
Summary: is a short paragraph that contains the main idea and results of an original of a subjects or texts, but without opinion.
Paraphrase: is rewrite the words by your own words
Six basic steps for writing a summary are:
Step 1: Reading text or an event you want to read
Step 2: Think about MVP, and formulate the main idea in that text you read
Step 3: Try reread the text and underline VIPs and MVPs what the most important idea and things you think
Step 4: Write a sentence with author and title
Step 5: After that talk about VIPs and MVPs in facts with order of your text
Step 6: Just revise your summary and compare to original text

- Graphic Organizer- visual representation of the parts of a concept
- Language Starters -"what does the author mean by...?""The author states on page 123 that... it makes me think of..."

- Building background knowledge-using simpler readings (websites) before the academic reading.
